Hahahahaha! I STILL do that, so fully sympathize with him! I have to tell you, it's been 30 YEARS and when in a snap-decision situation, having driven over there with you lot has ruined me for driving over here. Almost get myself killed on a regular basis with the whole right/left thing, which is screwed up in my head anyway. 5 years of wrong-side-of-the-road doesn't go away, although yes, I understand it's WE who drive on the wrong side. I wonder how that got started? I knew that once, forgotten now. One of the wars?

Anyway, much congrats on the car! And if YOU ever see anyone on a round-a-bout who is still there the next day, it'll be me, visiting the UK again. Pass me a sandwich through the window, won't you? I can never get the heck outa those things in the city.

Congratulations Amethist.

He'll soon get used to driving it. So much so that he won't be able to drive a manual. At least that's what's happened to my Dad. He's had automatics for so long that, he now can't drive a manual. Which we found out when we hired a manual car on holiday a few years ago. It was so scary, I had to ban him from driving!!

Get well soon, and I hope you both enjoy your new found freedom.

How bad is this.

We have had the car for 4 days now, and it has not moved from the drive. Both of us too full of cold to even think about doing anything other than staying indoors where it is warm.
