So the one to the right was my unit patch. I was attached 90% of my time to the weirdo's who's patch was on the left. The two strange bits of tin that were knocked out of an old soup can and left to rust in some sea water were what I earned. I didnt have to suffer the macdonalds hat much,.... but I did wear a big floppy sun hat a lot and took a lot of shit for the unit patch... I think that latin stuff says something like we looked around, we paid attention and we saw you bugger those sheep or something like that.

Strangely drawn lines, cryptic latin, and then a checkered flag.....F1, NASCAR racing??

Man, I would have loved to have been in that unit..... Driving stock cars with big rubber gloves and a shaker full of margaritas on the seat, cursing in pig Latin like a drunken Roman sailor, racing around a volcano in full eruption with F18's lighting the way.......because of course stock cars don't have head lights.... Yaaaaa Hoooo!!!!

I honestly thought of trying to explain that damned thing. I have spent 20 years looking at and trying to figure some of it out and trying to kill the bastard who designed it.
Wagon did as good of a job as I have ever heard of. So my job is done here. as for the bar fights...I was in a lot. I was that big guy when every little guy said alright! whos the biggest f*ckker in here? So yeah...I would have rather just gotten drunk in peace you know.
We used to joke that the paddles and skull were a symbol of what they did to us...we paddled until we were dead.
I hate those rubber assault boats as much as I hated learning underwater night navagation. Then GPS came out and parts of the job became fun. Its no different that being a cook. A cook has to chop up everything prior to cooking. We just had to break our asses to get somewhere to do our jobs. The cook had it better trust me.
