What Are You Grateful For Today?

The rain we had yesterday (we had a horrid dry season last summer and forest fires, so hoping that this year won't be like that)!

GOD! (Should be at the top of my list, but as usual, I'm so busy thinking that I forget He gives me the air I breathe, the food I eat, the home I live in and every other person and thing in my life)!!!!!

- That my hair has -approximately- 6 lbs of goo in it.

#HaventShavedMyHeadYet

- Tylenol, to help deal with the headache of having -approximately- 6 lbs of goo in it.

- Magical Elixer Goo-ish-substances that take  MUFASA! ...aka... WTF happened to you? Hair and -eventually- bullies antisocial every hair for itself! Run! It's the wild woman of Borneo! Hair into more congenial ringlets. Whether they're well behaved ringlets? Sigh. Remains to be seen. Will touch base in 24-72 hours ...once things dry.

Just how long is your hair @Friday? That is a lot of goo.

Grateful for forum friends who talk honestly. Grateful to be learning more new things. Grateful for roasted broccalli for lunch today, the good smell from the oven and the tasty, flavorful food. Grateful for clean clothes and the hot weather. Grateful that I am doing alright in spite of adversity.

My therapist. We had an amazing conversation today. I'm only beginning to understand how much of an advocate she has been in my life - allowing me to struggle until I could hear truth in little bits and pieces. Being a constant in the crazy. Never occurred how emotionally draining that can be to a therapist.

@Friday, consider going natural after you shave your head. My wife did, and it's the best decisions after years of caustic perms trying to wrangle her hair into a socially acceptable 'do. She now has locks that we cut once every couple of years to keep from injuring her neck (those f*ckers are heavy.) Of course, dreadlocks come with their own coiffure requirements and upkeep...
