What Are You Grateful For Today?

Feel excited. I talked last night with a woman who is doing graduate studies in to PTSD Complex Trauma. She was talking about self regulation internally and how abused kids often don't get that co-regulation from their mothers and a lack of bonding and attachment. Thus they aren't able to self regulate.

The new treatments sound really good and quite effective. I am going to have a cuppa with her next Tuesday.

I will get to the grateful part.

Today, I am having a severe allergy attack. The pollen count is super high in my area and the wind is blowing. My allergy medications are not working.

I'm grateful for it because all I can think about is how miserable the allergies feel and that does three things:

1. Keeps me grounded in the present
2. Forces me to relax and self care.
3. Keeps my mind off of focusing on the past, future, or anything else that might quite possibly bring me a visit from the white coated men/women :wideeyed: :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::eek:

And I am also grateful for this site and all the people here, and the ones who check on me every single day just about! <3 <3

@Ms Spock that research / new treatment sounds v promising! Would love to hear what you learn about it?

I'm grateful that the frames for my partner's birthday have arrived in good time and that they are so nice!

I'm grateful for the meat & potato pie with spiced red cabbage I'm gonna have for lunch (actually excited!!)

I'm grateful for the rumbling belly which is only adding to the lunch anticipation excitement :p
