That I wasn't there to see the end of her story, because it can always mean it didn't end like all those others. That it's one hope I get to keep. Maybe she took everything I taught her to heart, and found safety.

I'm so grateful that in today's mail, I received a postcard from the Clerk of the District Court.

The postcard stated that the Jury Trial that I was supposed to show up for on Monday, has been cancelled. Needless to say, I am so relieved.
