Most normal foods(at least ones I would eat). One of the new ones that I'm trying right now is Quinoa. I think that is how it is spelled. Apparently it is a good source of protein and I believe gluten free. The other is greek yogurt. She felt if I tried pineapple for one, that might help with my sugar tooth and stomach issues. I tried Greek yogurt when it first came out and didn't like it, but I'm trying this one recommendation. She wants me to stay away from aspartame products. Working protein in slowly since the idea of eating anything more then what I do sets me into a panic. I can continue with the tablespoon of my reduced fat peanut butter(yum). She showed me the various glycemic levels of some fruit and veggies.

Probably told you more then you wanted to know. I'm glad it's healthy and nothing that I wouldn't already eat. She isn't pushy. Which I like. I think that would send me in a panic and I wouldn't go back.

I like Quinoa. You can get an organic one at Costco for a reasonable price. I add grilled vegetables and lemon juice, olive oil and cilantro. I grill lots of peppers, zuchinni, tomatoes and onions. It is a complete protein which is amazing because most vegetarian options need to be paired with another rice or grain in order to be a complete protein. From what I remember it is actually not even a grain but a member of the seed family.

I wish you the best on your new food discoveries :-)

Today I am thankful that my health isn't paying for the activity I did yesterday. Sometimes when I am active my body tends to shut down the next day or so and all I do is sleep. Don't feel tired right now, so that is a good thing. I usually know right away if it is going to be a bad day. No sign of it.

Thank you. The nutritionist said the quinoa tends to absorb the flavor of whatever it is cooked in. I had a premix one with tomato and basil. First try was very good. The texture, which throws me off with food at times, was actually okay. I'll have to check it out Costco. Think my next adventure with it is in my husbands stir fry.

So thankful that the very heavy bookcase that I had dragged to the curb was picked up by the trashman last night.

It was like something from my past. I remember when I bought it, the furniture store went out of business a long time ago.

So am very thankful that the "energy" came up, that it was time for me to let the old bookcase go. It is just so nice to look at the new bookshelves that I assembed and weigh so much less, so feeling a little lighter in lots of ways!
