I am thankful for my beautiful daughter
I am thankful for my therapist. Who after 2 years still makes himself available to me whenever I need him and for that I'm TRULY thankful.
I am thankful for my OWN apt.
I am thankful for my cat.
I am thankful that Nicole's dad is going to pay for her: karate, cheerleading camp and tennis lessons Yea!
I am thankful for my best friend Gabby - she is wonderful to me!
I am thanful for all the support I get on this site. I LOVE YOU ALL: Alli, Bloom, Murphy, Albatross, Marie, Kath, Deb, Bronie. Thank you all

I am thankful for the surgeon who brought my hand back to life after 18 long hours of surgey. I sent him a Christmas card last year with a letter. I wrote in the letter how bad is was for me that morning of the trauma. How scared I was. How truamatized I was. He sent me a real awesome card with a personal message and a picture of his wife and kids too. It was eighteen years ago but he still remembered me and (my hand injury).

I'm thankful for my new unresponsiveness. I've lost track of the number of passive-aggressive jabs at me on various forums and in real life over the past week. I haven't responded at all. I can walk away or stand up for myself without getting angry.

I'm thankful for the bloggers I follow. Whether they're writing about the catastrophe in Japan or the worst of human nature, the tone never really changes. They could easily give in to cynicism. They never have. They aren't being paid to do this.

I'm thankful for the compassionate, brilliant sleep doctor who took one look at seven years of medical records and accurately guessed everything else I'm struggling with, right down to the little details that even the neurologist missed. He showed me how everything fits together. After a life of severe, untreatable insomnia, I can sleep at night (even if the nightmares are still there).

I am thankful that I live in small enough city that it is mostly safe to be.
I am thankful that I own a large, comfortable bed to sleep upon.
I am thankful that I own a computer and have high-speed internet access.
I am thankful that I have access to free books and more, for the visually impaired.
I am thankful that I am not so traumatized anymore that I can't ever speak.

I am:
....thankful that there is more then just one season per yr.
....thankful that sometimes, some people like me and find me interesting.
....thankful that I have all my own teeth still.
....thankful that I am resilient enough to often rise above tragedies.
....thankful that I just now am reminded of so very much more that I have to be thankful for.

I am thankful that my husband is staying committed to me dispite our rough relationship.
I am thankful that I have a friend and mentor who is teaching me to cook and help my allergies.
I am thankful that I found this place and am going to deal with the tramas.
I am thankful that I have animal companions.
I am thankful that I can be of good use to my elder neighbors.

Family. Just family. Hubby (ex now but friends), who taught me what real love was. My children, who helped me to feel love in every atom of my body. And my grandchildren, who keep me young and smiling.

And not to forget my two brothers and two sisters, who know what I’m talking about but cope with it in their own way.

By the way, it’s Mother’s Day here in UK. I’m expecting some visitors later.

Today I prayed for god to be in my life and to have god's will be done. I haven't prayed in years, having no faith at all, nor did I when I prayed today. Well, some very good things happened to me concerning something I had been upset about. These good things were a complete suprise to me and none of it should have taken place if my will was done (which was hiding at home not going anywhere.)

So I'm thankful for god being in my life and showing me what gods will was. I am thankful I just rediscovered faith and I hadn't even thought it was possible.

I am thankful for my two wonderful children.
I am thankful for finding support through this site and the great people here.
I am thankful for NA, my husband is finally getting help!
I am thankful for finally starting to make friends after years and years.
I am thankful for feeling hope for the first time.
I am thankful to know I am not crazy and not alone anymore.

This is a tough one right now because the process is ripping my inside out. I'm certainly not going to say because I'm alive, I've never felt like that, maybe one day. Life and all the impossible bottom-feeders in this day and age are coming out and trying to take a bite out of me through old debts, illegal as hell but they are trying, so I guess I will have to go with I'm thankful for the fight in me that refuses to being a victim anymore!! How's that?!

NO MORE!! I'm fighting back. You have picked the wrong la hembra (female), to mess with - not once, not twice but the three times! I'm not taking it, I keep all my files and I know the law ;) I may be one little person but I am a 'cat in a bag' mad and I don't know the meaning of lay down and die!

So yes, I'm thankful for the knowledge I have collected through all the years I have worked since I was 14yrs old. I was a sponge and still am. I am not a victim anymore.
