Today I helped an old friend clear some space in one of his barns so I can store my stuff when the house gets sold. An unhappy day today.

I got up early and sat looking at my Christmas tree.

I got my hair cut and lowlighted. Then, because it was cold, I bought a skim cappucino with an extra shot of expresso. I like my coffee strong. ;)

I baked me a pumkin cake, even though I live alone. I need something to cheer me up sometimes, and I love pumkin and/ or apple cakes.

My husband and youngest son are heavily into anything that is pumpkin, including ice cream! Apple cakes, you just reminded me that my mom and grandma use to make them. I really should get out the recipe and make one. Maybe then the house will warm up! ;)

I went to my daughters house today. We decided to help her out, her kitten is sick and she did not have the money to take him to the vet. We gave the oldest granddaughter her birthday present a three d puzzle of angry birds which she likes. Between her and the youngest granddaughter they finished it in a hour and a half. We had some yummy jello cake my daughter made. Lovely decorations she did herself. When we left we got frappes. I came home and then went out and got tacos for dinner. We are having a cozy evening. I hope tommorow is a good day.

I finally threw away my vase of completely dried and brown old wild flowers, the last ones of the fall season. I was sorry, in a way, to let them go, but they really looked dreadful! In their place I placed a bell, with kind of a Christmasy thought in mind I guess. It is not red and green or anything, it is bronze I think, but it sounds pretty when I ring it!

Yesterday after a full crammed week, I was a turtle! Only allowed the neighbor a short stay.

I played on computer on genealogy. Something I love to do.

I really ate too much yesterday, couldn't stop, so realized that the holidays were affecting me, so decided to write about them which I'm glad I did in my diary.

Went to church this morning, taking the rest of the day OFF! No "work" work, no "house" work, no "paying the bills" work...
