@nyarlathotep69 ! Hi! Welcome to you!

Yes diazepam works great I would be an addict in no time.

I struggle with anxiety too. I was actually looking for something totally unrelated to any of this whatsoever and the following popped up, it should show a window with a free 52 pg e-book on managing anxiety med-free. I don't have time now but am going to go back to it later.

Hope it helps (us).

@nyarlathotep69 sorry forgot to add it :rolleyes: (Give the pop-up for the anxiety manual a minute fo show up, it seems).

Thank you so much everyone! I appreciate it hugely. Sorry to not have answered before. Juggling some difficult life circumstances along with my phobia about posting about myself (which is improving a lot!) but I still do absolutely read and am always so grateful.
I'm afraid I didn't get myself to actually take any of these. I am at a point where I can more accurately gauge my paranoid or trauma related responses to things so that is progress. I can sometimes take the next stop past them. Other times it is a process.

Considering medication made we work extremely hard on the non med options and with some success. I at least considering getting myself back into a psychiatric appointment to discuss the bigger picture. I have made a list from what you have discussed with me here and can hopefully try out the options that feel possible ish as I go along.

Thank you! I am doing better than I was.

Question for you all. CBD oil: am starting to understand this better. We get the type with no THC in the UK. Yes? The THC is my concern but then it seems most find that it is the ingredient that changes things.

I take a combination of venlafaxine (225mg morning and 150mg afternoon) and mirtazapine (45mg night); often referred to in the literature as California Rocket Fuel.

So I'm right at the high end of dosing, but it's the med combo that has worked the best for my anxiety to date- not considering "quick" + sedating approaches eg. clonaz/loraz.

I'm not anxiety-free, by any means, but I'm so much better than I was before these meds. It's helped to calm my anxiety enough to make grounded/rational decisions.

Word of warning: I've heard coming off venlafaxine is full of unpleasant side effects, but it's something I've accepted for the positive effects it's giving me now.

Best of luck with your search. All the trial and error is a bitch, but it's so worth it when you find med(s) that work.

That's right yes. When I looked into it some months ago I read lots of reviews, particularly on Holland & Barrett because I didn't trust going to an unknown online seller and ended up with the impression quite a few people didn't notice any difference even months later so decided not to bother.
