What Is Combat PTSD?

I came down with a case of dengue right after one trip. It sucked for six weeks... I spent a lot of time in the rivers, so we took cipro as a precaution every day on top of malaria meds. Didn't help & I still get unexplainable rashes. I've been around the world many times - there's no place like Africa.

There are so many organisms in the waters and the jungles (not to mention the deserts) of Africa that can hurt you it's ridiculus. Even more so Americans and Europeans, we have even less resistance than the natives. That is the reason Africa has not been developed in large part. Prime example, Tsetsi Fly, vector for a really nastsy pathogen. Hey Cyclepath, try fresh aloe, pieces right off of the plant directly on to the skin rash. I have been amazed at how well it works for me for anything to do with the skin. Good luck. Shalom.

Cyclepath, I just looked up Cipro for reactions. One of them is rashes. You may be having an allergic reaction to Cipro. I would go get it checked out ASAP in case it is an allergic reaction. Have a Doc look at it. Shalom.

This is in reguards as to whether civilians who are in combat zones do indeed suffer from Combat PTSD as much as any soldier in a combat zone.

I'm going to assume that your question is something along the lines of: Why aren't civilians allowed here who live / survive in combat zones?

Because they aren't military. There is no such diagnosis as combat PTSD. It is a categorisation, not a diagnosis. The categorisation is made for those who are military and serve in combat. Civilians are non-combatants, hence, combat PTSD is applicable to serving, armed force personnel who deploy into operational war zones.

If you want to argue about this website, please just don't. I'm not going to disagree with anything you have to say. I'm simply going to say, this site has every right to define who uses it. No different than a female gym can refuse male entry.
