@Tornadic Thoughts, the balls on a string were called Clackers. We were not allowed to have them in Catholic school. I lived on an island off the coast of Savannah, GA when I was a kid, and we would roam all over it all day. We found an abandoned tree house and we had so much fun there.

My baby dolls, my roller skates, my bike, my barbie, lincoln logs, building blocks, played cars with my brother, jewelry, radio.

When I saw this question, I just couldn't remember. What came to mind was my sister's, who was younger than me, and the Golden Child in the family. I so remember her playing with her friends and their Barbie and Ken dolls. My mother had found someone who made clothes for these dolls and my sister had so many outfits that I remember thinking to myself, mom likes you best and she did all through my life!

Fast forward, and one of things I received when I started working on myself, was the most cuddly teddy bear you have ever seen. She was given the name of "Tender Heart" and she means so much to me as it was given to me by people who really cared about me.

I have a Madeline doll that I took everywhere. I accidentally left it somewhere, and my two aunts hunted everywhere for a replacement. They ended up getting one that came in a different outfit. My dad was supposed to change her so I wouldn't notice, but he didn't think that I would be able to tell the difference. I did. I didn't mind it at all though, because the new one had an appendix scar. I didn't tell my aunts that I liked the updated doll until years later, and I think I could have saved them a few gray hairs. They were always the ones that got stuck hunting for whatever toy we really wanted for Christmas that was impossible to find, too.
