What Made You Angry Today?

I was angry about a colleague.

She told me on Friday that she has to leave earlier because of the preparations for her boyfriend's birthday party. Fine with me. Half an hour later she asked me if I can take her key for her office because she might not come on Monday and call in sick...

Me: WTF?! Do you have any appointments?

She: Yes, three interrogations...

Me: Maybe you should cancel these...? :cautious:

She: Why? No, I won't. ...the files are there and there and I will maybe come.

Okay...that was Friday. I told my group leader and he said "Let's see if she'll show up on Monday."

Sunday evening. Me is ironing the laundry...when my smartphone signalizes a What'sApp message. It's from her: "Hello there. Don't feel healthy yet. Will call in sick today. Thanks in advance. The files are already on my desk."...I almost ironed over my hand....! :mask::grumpy:

And when I came to work today and unlock her office...there were the files on her desk, with a message "Interrogations" on it...and I thought WHAT?! ...how can someone already know on Friday that he/she will be sick on Monday?! Prepare everything and think that colleagues will do all the work?! :arghh;:banghead:
 
I had a boss like that like, he was so insecure it was unreal. I was the only one out of six of us who used to stand up to him, so they always asked me to put things forward to him.

He tried to issue me a written warning for taking extra days off for my Dads funeral, even when I had phoned him and told him the situation, "problems with cemetery" which was OK with him then?

When I came back, I had a right row with him, then stormed out, and went to see the manager, who was surprised to see me, as he thought I was still in leave?

The manager, who was a sensible bloke, and told me he knew of the situation about my bosses insecurity

He then had "a word" with my boss, and after that he never bothered me much, but did go out if his way to make things harder for me, but I was used to that anyway.
 
I'm angry that some guy was checking me out in line at a store looking me up and down from head to to toe and licking his lips. And when I'd turned my head in time to watch his eyes move back up my body to see my face and that I was looking at him he kind of slid his teeth over his lip nodded and smiled at me.

I wanted to tell him how absolutely disgusting he was for doing that. I also wanted to say "I'm trying to buy tampons and cereal here you slimy perverted a**hole how about you not look at me like I'm a piece of meat?".

But instead I pretty much felt violated looked at him with aversion and left feeling like it's going to take days for me to wash myself clean of what felt like was a slimy disgusting residue left on my body from his eyes.
 
Well my last nephew from my stepsister's family unfriended me on facebook simply because I disagreed with him. He is suppose to be a Christian. They are all suppose to be, but they have very closed minds and are not accepting. I can say my children wouldn't think of doing that to their aunt. Nice.
 
An email at work. It's an ongoing issue. A head of a group that uses our facility used veiled accusations, cut down my staff and accused them of wrongdoing and being incompetent. The reality is that he refused to pay for a service, expected quality of service not covered in the quantity of workers, and then went against their agreement and are using content derived from a performance for gain without paying the associated fees.

But we are the bad guys.

It was addressed to me and a couple of the leads under me. I had to hold them back from answering directly and starting something. I have had to wait a few days to cool down, rewrite the response several times and then finally copied everyone and their brother in on the response.

I'm waiting for the shit storm. It makes my blood boil just thinking about it. I was nauseatingly nice in my email.

If you ever want to know why it take so long for customer service to respond, THIS is why. They are trying to make sure that they
A. have the facts straight from everyone.
B. Say everything nicely so they don't get dismissed for saying something rude.
C. Find a nice way (if it really IS the client's fault) of saying "you're a f*cking idiot" without using those words.
D. Find a way to say what we HONESTLY want is for the client to be successful because when the client looks, we look good without coming across as ass kissing.

As my crew likes to say: this is why I get paid the "big" bucks.

The truth is the client is an idiot. Wants a professional copy of something without paying the price of the devoted person to do the work and without the equipment necessary to do the work and then wants to complain when things for his product don't turn out the way he planned.
