Hearing from a friend who has been on her own for way too long, has finally met a nice guy.

Being able to give me the day off so I can relax stress free. I am very lucky to be able to do this.

I got to practice my ASL signs with my boss. Actually, just learned the sign for 'boss' which I think will entertain her greatly so that is tomorrow's sign. I am loving my new classes, it makes me happy that I think I'll be able to understand the material and the professors all seem very content with my accommodations.

I managed to self soothe when I woke up really early - felt really nice to be able to say "I am safe" and to actually feel it, and then to snooze.

Life in general was good today...I've been in the gym and staying on top of my family and life seems to be good.

I woke up a bit down, missing Dad, but decided I didn't have to accept that feeling, so got off my rear-end and got busy. And believe it or not, am still doing things.

Also, Mom and I worked together on a couple 'projects' and we are getting along fabulously. Who'd have thought THAT could/would happen?? Especially so soon after Dad's passing.

My sister and I had a troubled relationship for a number of years before my mom died. In fact mom was just plain tired of it. I seriously thought, when mom was in surgery, if she died, I would be an orphan. No family(okay other then my husband and kids). I grew up mainly with just the three of us because my parents were divorced. Not as close to my dad.

Anyhow, during the weeks before mom died and the time afterwards my sister and I actually worked well together. We were considerate of each other's feelings without being fake. We even went on a small memorial trip. I was amazed at how well we were communicating and getting along. We still are a year and a half later. I don't question it.

They say tragedy often brings people together. Maybe your dad would have liked to see this change in you and your mom. I know my mom would have in my sister and I.

I believe that he DOES know...since no one KNOWS what happens after death...I believe it is possible. I'm sure he would have loved it.

I have been throwing things out. I am clearing out my home. This makes me very happy.

That's MY goal. Throwing things out. I finally figured out that I'm trying to fit too much into too little space. All I do is shuffle things around.
