What Made You Happy Today?

I walked 6km+ with my dog.

I went to the yoga studio to sign up for volunteer jobs in exchange for free classes.

I drank water today.

Wow, I just love reading through this thread and seeing some of the things that makes everyone happy here.

Listening online to a sermon by my old pastor from the city in which I used to live. I live 600+ miles from there now, but it sure was nice to hear him, he is such a godly man and really has the fire of the Holy Spirit in his words. The sermon was about Heaven and what we can expect there. You can't beat that for good news!

My 16 year old son wanting to actually clean his room and be so gung ho about it, he also wants to paint it. A brighter green then I might have chose, but he wanted me along to help him pick it out because, he said, I'm good at it. That made me smile and I went along with him. Now my husband and him are doing the painting part. I helped with the cleaning and prep.

I'm happy I had the energy. I'm happy that he chose an upbeat color. I'm all around happy. Got my mind off the gloom. Thank you son! :D

I had some moments of feeling normal today. That made me very happy.

Having dinner at the dining room table with my Mom and Dad, the dogs asleep on my feet under the table.

I am happy because I went to the beach. I admired the ocean. I also went boogie boarding and caught some waves.

My day is just getting started. So far I am content. That, alone, is enough to make me happy.

I admired the ocean

The ocean is amazing. I'm near the great lakes in the states but it has never given me the same feeling. I don't consider myself very religious, but I can say, between the ocean and the mountains I have a strong feeling of being close to God. I can't imagine ever being around them without feeling awesome emotions at their beauty, even if one didn't believe in God.

I saw a large Darter holding its wings out and flapping them to dry herself. She was a magnificent bird. So large!

My 9 year old son told me this evening that I am "the best most awsome mum in the whole world".

Yesterday evening, after dinner he told me I looked tired and I should go to bed and he would do the clearing up and empty and restack the dishwasher and clean the kitchen surfaces. I woke up this morning to find he and his sister had done exactly that.
