What Made You Happy Today?

I am happy that my husband has calmned down and is sweet again. Life is back to normal. We are getting ready for christmas. Tommorow is a new day. It will be a early day for us. We will have to get out of here early. I am not looking forward to that. I am a slow to wake up person.

What made me happy today is that I have this forum! This is my best Christmas because of it! This is the first time in years that I wasn't alone!! ((((((((((((((((((((((((((Hugs to everybody!))))))))))))))))))))))))

P.S. Well actually Christmas Eve, but I'll be here tomorrow too! :D

I am having a hard time making decisions. This story will not end happily. That is the bad part.

Bless your heart gizmo. If I may send you a safe, gentle hug and a warm cup of herbal tea, perhaps I can sit down with you and offer you some words that helped me. By having a person come in each week, they will become a friend to your husband and a blessing for you. By taking breaks once-in-a-while, you can be refreshed enough to function again.

I knew a lady (a number of years ago) who's children wanted to put her in a home because she had the problem of what they considered dementia. Her husband had passed away and her children all grown. She was getting older and in a lot of pain. She didn't want to leave the home where she'd raised her family for so many years. When they put her in the home she flipped out completely. They no longer knew the woman whom they called mother. I offered to come stay with her in her home and care for her until she passed over.

At first they argued about it, but they didn't know what else to do. They went and talked to their mom, and she was so excited to be able to stay at home, they agreed. I had the honor of staying and being a companion for her until she passed over to be with her husband. My only stipulation was, I had to have at least one day off so I could sleep and do errands and just take care of me. Can you believe I had to fight to get it? But get it I did. She hated the other woman, and I finally told her children, they needed to each take a turn coming to stay with their mother one night each. When they did, they found her much better than she'd been in years. I turned into a good experience for everyone.

Take care of you, cause you are taking care of him. (((( gizmo )))), "puts the brush back in the bathroom and kisses gizmo on the forehead, then leaves"

It was like a miracle. I had left to go and get mocha frappes and when I came home my husbands doctor called on his cell phone. I was amazed that we got to talk to him today. It sounded like they were closed today. I do not know what my husbands doc told him but it calmned him down. He did say the worst was yet to come. My husband has to face and deal with this. I got to talk to his doctor too. He said to up his seroquel to two pills at night. I am so happy this happened. It was so nice to talk to the doctor himself.
