What Made You Happy Today?

Watching my children play with their animals. They were all excited and laughing. It warmed a mother's heart!

Yay I am going out for take out. I am so happy. You know McDonalds is closed tommorow. Good thing I have plans to go to my daughters house for grinders. I am so happy.

I just read in a book I've had for years and just remembered today. I find it sooo funny and I had some good laughs. Also, I think, that finally those antibiotics start working.

I am happy that I am going to my daughters for today. I am so happy that we get to share the holiday with them.

I was happy with the contact I had with other people today. It was low key, very low key indeed, but okay.

I was deeply moved (= more than happy) with a gift I opened up shortly ago. It is a very beautiful and thoughtful one and it means a lot to me for several reasons.

So many wonderful gifts. I can get new glasses now. I can also carry things that were too heavy before, because of a Kindle. Wow, how exciting to be alive in this day and age when things that used to be so large are so small. As a person with multiple medical issues, it is a real blessing.

My dear friend Glenda told me a story about having been on a TV Talk show where there is a man who holds a HUGE clock that is tied around his neck to warn the speakers and host of how many minutes there are left until the next commercial.

Later she ran into this man at a grocery store and they were chatting and he realized she might not remember who he was (she was a regular on the show) and so he said, do you remember me, I'm (whatever his name is) from XYZ Show.

She replied, "Oh! I didn't recognise you without your clock". Well, the folks standing nearby had no idea that she'd said "clock" and one woman apparently thought she'd said a word that rhymed with that... and well, er, you can imagine the laughter the two of them collapsed into...

They were still laughing out in the parking lot 10 mins later.

Well, I laughed and laughed too!!! Still laughing....

The weather made me happy today. It was finally cold enough for me to wear a sweater and a scarf. I love winter :)
