What Made You Happy Today?

Tomorrow after I go food shopping and run errands, my friend will go with me to look for a new vacumn. Then we will try to put it together. I am so happy she is so willing to be there for me.

My shopping is over for today, but tomorrow is another day of shopping (groceries). Sigh.

My friend took me to the store and helped me to find a good vacumn. I also got one of those trash cans that open with a lever on the bottom and it opens and closes by itself. I am so blessed. She even put it together for me.

I am getting out of here today and going to spend the night at my daughters house.

That my illness is indeed cooperating with me so that I can get things done around the house. That makes me happy.

That I figured out a solution for a problem I have been having with a person who is a flake. I expect this from this person and will no longer depend on this person anymore. I found a solution for myself with good boundries for me.

My soon to be 3 year old grand-daughter (GDtr). She full of love and honesty! Of our many conversations today . . .

GDtr: "Grandma, you're fat." Me: "Yep, and you're very observant."
GDtr: "Let's go outside and play." Me: "I thought you'd never ask!"
GDtr: Giggle, giggle, giggle . . . tugging at my hand . . . that's all I ever want to do with you."

My counselor said she was impressed by how much I've been trying to identify my anger. That made me feel good despite how hard the past week has been. I'm still hanging in, I won't give up.

I found a particular bar of chocolate I had been looking for for a while.
I wrote a letter I have been wanting and needing to write for a while.
I have made it to day 9 fixing myself healthy breakfast (muesli) and cooked dinner.
I have managed to keep busy and therefore balanced for 9 days now (minus 1 1/2 when I had watched a movie I should not have watched (triggering...)).

Okay, now some of you may find this odd but, being told by my doctor that my underactive thyroid is giving up made me happy. Why, because I have been eating healthily and going to the gym and have lost very little weight (although I do feel better). Now hopefully because of a higher dosage of meds, I should begin to lose weight.

My job is always crazy-busy at the beginning of each month. These last few days have been especially busy this month because The Big Boss flew in from the other side of the country. I received a very sincere compliment from him this morning, and throughout the rest of the day lots of smiles and "pats on the back" from immediate co-workers and my immediate boss. It's good to feel appreciated :D
