What Made You Happy Today?

I am so happy that this day is so quiet and peaceful and I feel content for the time being. Now if only the afternoon depression will not bother me today.

I held the door open for a mother and her four children. Got to exchange some smiles with all of them. It may be a small thing, but it really brightened my day

Happy for music that makes me dance.

Happy to breathe. To live in the moment.

Happy that I genuinely care for the aching hearts of others.

Recognized facial inflammation in a store owner whose family is in Bangladesh for 3 months and gave him tips on how to move the lymph after quizzing him on allergies. He is holding his store alone for 3 months while his wife and infant son visit his home country. He always tells me, "Thank you ma'am" and is a very hard working and congenial person.

The smiles I get from my daughter when she looks at me. The smiles I get from my granddaughters.

The fact that I talked to a friend today on the phone, telling me on Saturday she and her niece will come and pick me up and take all of my kitchen stuff. The niece just got married and does not have anything. How lovely to be able to help her out this way.

I am so happy to give the stuff to someone who really needs it.

One of my day dreams is sitting with kind people from this forum and having a cuppa and just feeling safe.

That my youngest granddaughter wanted me to go along with her to the movies with her other grandmother who has only seen her twice since she was born. I cannot stand this person and she took her mom and sister with her. I am so touched by what the little one said to me. It made my day to be included. I am the lucky one because I have been there for her since she was born. In fact I was in the birthing room when she was born.

I felt happy today with my son's continuing athletic interest and his motivation and another hard practice today, as well as happy with him being himself.

That I finished writing my letter to the mortgage company about my disability and why it effects our ability to earn money. I hope we get the loan modification.
