What made me angry today. Don't laugh. I knit socks. I find it it soothing. Plus I can wear the result. Anyway, you need 5 short needles to knit in socks in the round. Went to the local wool shop and they sell them in f*cking packets of 4, so I had to buy 2 packets. What a rip off.

It's like if you need 10 nails for something. They'll have packs of 8 or 6 but never just 10. I'm laughing but it's true. It's IS a rip off.

another rip off is id went to my local harlford's which mainly sells accessaries for cars to gets a paint pen to touch up some scratches on my car which they used to sell singular, now they are sold in packs of three. i said to the women at the counter id only require one pen which i dont if i would even need the whole pen, but on asking i dont want the three as ive only got some small scratches at the rear, i said its jut a small area and three pens could probably do the full rear end. i felt so ridiculas i never bothered im mean what use would i have for the other two. yeah too right rip off.

I was in Lowe's yesterday getting some lumber and started talking to a guy about my age. We were comparing notes, so to speak, about how there aren't hardly any 'lumber yards' around any more. When they were the place to buy building materials you could get one nail if you needed it. And there was always a guy there that I think came with the place that knew about everything. If you were looking for certain materials he was the go to guy, he knew if they had it or not.

Today they don't even know what stuff they have. I asked the guy at the counter in the paint area if they had glazing compound. Something you use to putty nail holes and hold glass in place. Always sold in the paint section. He didn't have a clue. Just gave me a blank stare.

Didn't know whether to be pissed or laugh. So, I laughed and left. Funny but yes, sad.

Angry because I won't make work today, not after a cold sweatastic night of 3 hours sleep.

Oh and I worked in a builders merchants for 8 weeks once I left the Army and it took me 8 weeks to learn about 40% of the stock. Most of that bloody sizes of planks of wood. Felt like a proper bloke though!

Laurel and Hardy, now that's a crew I haven't heard from in a long time. Their movies still make me laugh.

What pisses me off today is trying to serve my fellow, young Vets of our current wars and having a little VA a.h. strutting around and shouting orders like he's running the show. I carefully looked over the literature for this thing and the VA was not mentioned anywhere. THAT's why I jumped in on this thing. Really helping Vets without any VA muddled intervention.

We've already had to redo work twice because of this jerk's twilight zone thinking. We've also got a Marine Gunny that kind of acts as a leader and laid it out him that I ain't working for the VA.

So, anyway, tomorrow is the last day, I will feel that I met my stated promise to help and I have. But if this jerk gives me anymore lip, forty years of abuse is gonna come out. And I'll just let this individual know exactly what I think of him and his employer.

I know why they are keeping the VA so low key in this, the young folks wouldn't come in if they knew the VA was involved.
