I suppose I am really, really pissed, but happy too. Our orderly room clerk when I was in Baghdad just went to jail for life, he is eligible for parole in 15 years, we should have the death penalty. He murdered his fiancee's 18 month old son. He won't survive in prison I don't think and he would not survive out either, he was infantry and I reckon there will be guys from his old unit that would break the law just to get into prison to take him out. Everyone knew he was on the 'roids' to get big, so it was either roid rage or he is just a f*ck bag with a callous streak.

The poor kid had 57 bruises of varying age, a 17 cm skull fracture and a ruptured bowel. The day care center took photos the day previous and asked him what happened. He said that the dog knocked the kid down and he also fell out of bed.

I am sickened and disgusted that I even knew the f*ck.. Troy William Reed...

I am so glad he did not try and claim PTSD... I would have hunted him down myself.

A bloke from my old unit got jailed for indicent images. They are in a walks of life.

Asked a solicitor to help me process a claim for my ptsd, after much deliberation, my psychologist said it may help process certain stuff.

Today I'm Told I may not even have a claim because the army diagnosed me whilst I was still serving. Diagnosed me then let me tear my life apart. Never signposted me or anything for when I left. It has to be unnoticed ptsd! So if I lose a finger I get cash, lose your mind and get sod all if they diagnose it; part of war fair enough, so why did I even bother? Because people said I should.

I then asked about the negligence incident I was involved in and the Solicitor stated that has been over 3 years so may well be Invalid now.

I bother to look at claiming to get hit with that. Made me feel worthless and f*cking angry. Back to being British and keeping a stiff upper lip.

Mate, honestly, don't listen to psycho babble, wait until it's officially on paper, they are probably just saying stuff in the hope you won't go forward. Of course you have a claim whether you were serving or not. PTSD is exactly that. Get your psych to write a letter and claim mate.

It sounds bizarre, but that is what the solicitor is saying; diagnosed in the army = no claim. Why would he say that? He would like to earn cash no doubt, so it's in his interest.

My psych is for me claiming, whether it's closure or not. So I battle against my mind and go for it, to be told I may not even have a claim.

More stress than I need, understand why I've left it this long. I feel like becoming very detached.

I don't know shit about the process, but the solicitor said the army are covered as it was in combat and thats what I signed up for. All sounds weird and confusing.

I am planning my life around not being stressful, that includes my future job. I can't even work like I had planned before this year and ptsd really hit me. So angry.

Serious, don't listen to that crap. That would mean any injury could result in the same process. Find a veteran center in your area mate, go speak to an advocate. Where do you live mate??

I have emailed the RBL. I just can't get my head around it. I could really do with some help Form filling, I am struggling with it, I always have.

I must admit, what he is saying sounds wrong. He is going to call me tomorrow, I'm gonna let loose. Obviously can't see his firm making cash out of me, so he lied to a bloke who has struggled to even Get this far. My family deserve something.

I'm embarrassed to say, I have not got a clue about veteran agencies. They exist?!!

Mate we have the same issues here. They will knock back a veterans claim the first time, they did for me, I was lucky I had an advocate though. I had to appeal it but won.

The VA's all around the world are just big medical insurance companies. I may be wrong, but if you are clinically diagnosed with PTSD and the psych attributes it to your war service, then they are liable, how much they pay is based on the severity of your diagnosis.
The same goes for injuries, if they can attribute your injury to 'service', they are liable, and it's just the severity of the disability that matters.

A lot of lawyers are friends with the VA lawyers etc, etc, just like you get doctors and psychs who are Pro VA and those that are not.

Angle might be able to put you in touch with advocacy centres.

Can you give him a contact number mate, so he does not get hosed over.
