I went to two movies this week. Very unusual for me. Last Monday my hubby and I went to see RED. It was pretty funny. Yesterday I went to Secretariat with a friend. Man was that a great movie. Very inspirational. Especially the main character. It was very uplifting and I highly recommend seeing it!

Yesterday I was watching The Castle. Although for those of you not in Australia you may (?) find it a little hard to find and might miss a bit of the humour in it.

Who is in it? I love your photo Jen! You are so pretty with such a sweet smile :)

Awww thanks Iam :)

Probably the only internationally known actor you might know of in it is Eric Bana. It's like a feelgood comedy that pokes fun at the Australian culture. It's about 12 years old now.

It's hard for me to see movies. I would like to see the new harry potter movie...but if you would like to see me have a panic attack, take me to a movie I'm not ready for. My husband loves to see movies...I just wish I could handle it.
I think I saw a Australian movie once (yeah, just checked, it is Australian) the man from snowy river. Great movie, cowboys, horses, clean ( as in, not scary) , and more horses!

Secretariat is a great feel good movie. Loved it too Iam. I watched a really good thriller, mystery, love story the other day called "Tell No One". It is a french film so it's subtitled but I prefer foreign flicks hollywood is so overrated. I highly recommend it even if you don't think you like subtitled movies just try it. I rented it on netflix (U.S.).

Ayesha, Man From Snowy River is one of my favorite movies. Went to see it years ago (maybe 20?) at the theater with a really good friend. Funny, she and I were just talking about it on Thursday ;o)

I'll have to rent that one Jesse. Yes,I agree, Hollywood is so overrated.

I like a movie called "as far as my feet will carry me". Its a German movie. Its very good and very moving.True story too.

Last movie I saw in theater was "leap year" I loved it. It was light, and funny.

I was telling my husband that twice a month we should have a movie night. Where he watches a movie I want to share with him, and he shares one with me.
T said he should watch Speak. Don't know if that will happen. Maybe one day.

I watched the Charles Manson movie "Leslie, my name is evil". I found myself highly attracted to it, so much that I had to watch it again. I enjoyed it more the second time.

I know this is about inspirational movies....and this movie was for me. It let me see how people can be drawn into things and do things they wouldn't normally do because they are craving something they have missed in their life and because of low self esteem. The right words along with the right drugs and a person can easily be persuaded. It was a real eye-opener.

Ayesha I will rent that movie, I have seen the title many times but haven't watched it yet.
The one movie which always makes me feel better and calm down ironically is "Goodfellas". It is an extremely violent gangster movie but I grew up in N.J. in a town with a lot of mafia and for some bizarre reason this movie relaxes me. I like movies based on true stories too.

I've been watching Showtime's "The BIG C", a series about a woman who finds out she has stage 4 cancer. The reason I mention it here is that, it's made me be more proactive in caring for myself so that I don't leave my children before I am ready to.

For movies, I like oldies. "North to Alaska" with John Wayne (a comedy), "Same Time, Next Year" with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn, "Rachel and The Stranger" with Loretta Young, William Holden and Robert Mitchum, "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and newer stuff I can watch for a million times "It Could Happen to You" with Nicolas Cage and Bridget Fonda, etc, etc.http://www.google.com/url?url=http:...ranger&usg=AFQjCNGMGQtC9YfJrB6KbZbam27vnY28iw
