take the long way home, by supertramp. Sometimes a song gets in my head and I just hear it on repeat until I replace it. I don't think I have ever sought the song out on line, never owned a copy, I think I have to go back to commercial FM days to remember the last time I heard it.

Bad-MJ. I have in recent years felt very conflicted on listening to his stuff because well…it’s all a bit muddy isn’t it as to what’s gone on or not.

Anyway, I came across Sam Ryder covering Dirty Diana and so now I’m listening to MJ. And wow, amazing how music can instantly cause a memory to pop up. Bittersweet. Driving in Dad’s old Suzuki leaving mother to her madness. Escaping for a couple of hours. Rewinding the tape with a pencil! I can smell that car in my mind.

Maybe my conflict on listening has more to do with me than it does Michael… it’s good though
