Love this one, as I was homeless and living out of a hotel/car and I'd finally disclosed it to older sister (after 7 months) and she had to say this. She just had to say it.

You know you've done this to yourself, don't you.

It was a statement/judgement, not a question.

Admittedly I didn't read all the posts here so this one may already be covered, but This is my most recent favorite:

Was a response I got recently from someone who I considered a friend (note the past tense) when I didn't want to return to the place I was recently kidnapped at gunpoint...oh and yes I got the "oh at least he didn't rape you" yeah I'm glad he didn't too..but I didn't know that....he wasn't thoughtful enough to tell me he wasn't actually gonna hurt me while he had the gun to my head.
And another's response was "oh I'm surprised he didn't rape you". I don't even know how to respond to that one. I mean...who were you rooting for here??!??

My "graduation" is from an ouyoutpatient pRogram as a patient who goes to the hospital almost every day for mental health care. Please get your facts strait. I do not appreciate your comment. I already feel pretty crappy as it is.

ETA: Sorry. I thought this was my unemployment post. UGH I really feel like a dork.

Had another doozy the day: 'You need to be more careful, you don't want people finding out that you have PTSD do you.'

So I guess they'll just assume I'm moody and irrational for no reason then and they're p*****g me off because I'm being picky.
