So! What'd ya'all get for Christmas?

I got a book called "TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED" by Debora M. Cory, and another book called "JESUS LIVES" by Sarah Young and some kitchen things, including the prettiest dish towel I have ever seen. I also got a little plaque with the Serenity Prayer on it, and 2 bracelettes, one with the word "BALANCE" on it and the other says "FREE TO BE ME." I also got a $25 gift card, and $20 and so I bought myself some erasable colored pencils and a sketch pad, a new bathroom towels and bathmatt set and I still have a $10 gift certificate from the Grocery that I need to think on, so that I don't just buy groceries with it, but something special....

Then also, my inner child got a Troll Doll, which I already mentioned in the INNER CHILD PARTY ROOM Thread.

Oh yes, and I almost forgot, I got a vacuum cleaner that can be a hand held or one that is a larger model. You can detach the long handle and just use it as a hand held. It works really well on picking up guinea pig bedding, because my little cutie pie likes to run around in his cage and scatter his bedding all over the place! It is a Black and Decker. I heard that is the best brand. I had asked for this gift, so I am so pleased.

Also, the Salvation Army got me a blender and some cloths too. I had asked for those things as well, and they had put my requests on their "Angle Tree" and some anonymous person, bless them, bought these things for me!

Merry Christmas, by the way!

Wow, that's a nice thread for sharing...:)

I got a new water boiler with a keep warm function. :coffee::happy: ...and a high quality baking dish. :D I also got the complete anime series of Robin Hood and a book with about 120 piano pieces (from modern to evergreens...:whistling:). I got an invitation for a musical, some chocolate and a book with via ferrata routes in the Alpes! :ninja: ...I got a lock-picking set for work! :D:D:D ...and a cute calendar with penguins! :inlove:

I got some gifts from my boyfriend today:

A coffee mug that says: "FAITH is being sure of what we HOPE for and certain of what we do not see"

and a leopard print throw blanket and a box of Kleenex! (I always need them, because my nose is forever dripping whenever I eat)!

But the best gift of all was that Jesus was born to us on Christmas morning some 2000 years ago and He blesses us every day with His LOVE and forgiveness and takes away our sins and makes us able to be in touch with Father God who hears our prayers.

I got a wonderful spread of new art supplies, including several Arches sheets (with a block of hot pressed!) and sixty open stock pencils from Caran d'Ache and Faber-Castell. I'm pretty f*cking stoked! My husband also put together a well thought out stocking which includes specialty dark chocolates (my favorite) and self care items I've hinted at.

The day of unwrapping isn't quite over yet though. We have the in-laws and my mother to go. :)

I had an evening with my adult sons in which we shared some memories (I love help with remembering) and made some new memories. My boys also gave me gifts to make my life easier and more peaceful...one of the gifts being a pretty silver locket you place tiny Pom poms in with essential oils on them.

My oldest had a truckbed of snow from storm in the mountains where he is working. He started a snowball fight before we went to dinner. I enjoyed getting the gift of laughter and playfulness.

Got craft items which I wanted and new set of towels. But most of all I relished sharing time with my son, even though he is going through a rough time right now: but that is understandable: he had to clean out his cousin's personal belongings and moved them across half the country after his cousin shot himself to death. The experience of seing the place where his cousin took his life is apparently gnawing at him and I totally understand.

Triggers still appear with my son though: at times it is as if speaking to his father when the traits that I remember clearly from his dad appear: that can trigger me terribly. But I do not want to ever give up on my child.
