Only super hot showers for me and my back is always to the shower head. I have to be able to see if someone approaches. Otherwise, the shower is my zone and where I get my best thinking done... and sometimes my best singing, too. :whistling::cool:

Other.

I rotate. No way in hell I'd take a single static position when dealing with a stream of water, much less if over my head.

This might seem a little odd but I hate when the shower is already wet. I need the shower to be dry before I take a shower, as in no one can take a shower before me.

Wow, I got a notification for this thread and had forgotten. Reading my previous reply of how badly triggered I was, compared to now, makes me see how far I've come.

Generally, I tend to have my back to the shower, just because I really like the water hitting the top of my shoulders. I spin around to rinse the soap off, but still struggle with having water hit my face. But compared to when I first joined the site?! Wow what a difference! :D

I take quick showers if I am triggered and ensure the door is locked but, I spin around and have no aversion to one direction or the other. If I am alone in the house, I can sometimes feel vulnerable when I shower.

If I am comfortable and not triggered, I prefer a nice long bath, but always shower off to finish...no point in washing the dirt off of my behind and then dumping it on my head. ;)

I chose other. I don't like showers and only do it if I'm forced to. I take baths because then I can see and hear. In the shower, you have the noise and the shower curtain. When I'm forced to I guess I switch around.

Sort of a weird poll. I have sort of a weird issue. Water hitting my face is very triggering. Hitting my head and going down my face isnt as bad. So my back always is what faces the shower head. To the point that i feel backwards for the nob to turn it off or get out before turning it off. My face is wrinsed from the water from my head.

I think that issue is a unusual one for sure. But its for a reason.
