Had this red crap on my cheeks and forehead for months now, trying to work out whether it has been food based, heat, cold, etc... basically sucks having any photo as it looks like acne or something.
Anyway, after months of trial and error with foods, soaps, washing hair, not washing hair, etc, to see if anything actually made it go away, went back to the doctor yesterday and he says it looks and fits a dermatitis type that people can get from dandruff.
The shampoo I have used is anti-dandruff... though it could have something to do with still... jury is out on that one, time will tell.
Anyway, he gives me a cream to kill it all off, and just in a single day of use it is clearing away, so he got it right by the looks about what it is. Just sucks that for months I have been walking around with this sometimes, bright red face, or sometimes quite normal and not inflamed look... but the moment I'm in a photo, it highlights it regardless.
So looking forward to the next week of using this stuff and this thing going away.
Now the fun part... still trying to discover what it is that caused it, IF it comes back again. May come down to having to use some special shampoo twice weekly, get rid of the anti-dandruff stuff and use a normal one each day... letting this special one do its thing twice weekly.
Time will tell I guess.
Life becomes more and more interesting with age, as it seems to produce more irregularities as we age.
