So the first meeting was not terrible. My sissy went with me! It was very informal and low key. It actually turned into a temporary orders hearing on the spot and we conferenced about who’s going to pay what and when. I did lose my composure a little emotionally in the courtroom when the judge said the divorce will be final the first week in July. July 3 is our anniversary. I got it on record that I have PTSD and requested that in periods of triggering my sister be allowed to speak for me. The judge wasn’t opposed to the idea but said he would tread carefully where that is concerned. He was very impressed at the progress we made in conference together and said that he didn’t feel, given that progress, that this would be a litigious affair. I opted to remain pro se and he gave me resources for free advise. I was a wreck emotionally for about half the remainder of the day but got better towards evening.
