New Here
Hi,
I dont know why I'm even here. I guess I'm crazier than I thought I was. I feel so alone, I wont talk about it. I friggin hate living like this.

Is anyone else on constant guard, can't sleep right, and feel so tired that you can't do anything? I should have died over there:(

Hi Nerdboy

Welcome to the forum, and a safe place to vent, yell, scream and anything else you want to do with all this. We do understand why.

Your are not crazy by any means, hopefully in time you will be able to see and work past this point. It is hard, but you made a big step posting your introduction. Keep going now you are here, you will find a lot of support information, help and advice.

Have a look at the Combat PTSD Forum as well, you will find the link to this at the top under the EXTRAS button.

Take care and good luck.

Hi Nerdboy,

Welcome to the forum. I have not been a member long but have found this a very safe place to be. It took courage to sign in and I applaud that step!!

Explore the site. Read some threads. I hope you find something that helps.

Welcome.

Sammy

Not a combat vet, but I sure can id with hating living like what you described. I wrote a book about a ww2 vet and his buddies. At 86 and older they still have the same issues. Hopefully that since it is more talked about there will be remedies. Interestingly they didn't share much of anything until retirement and now in their 80's they are quite open. Not sure what to make of it, but have observed it. Welcome!

Welcome to the world of ptsd. You're having normal feeling/reactions to an abnormal situation. The only way out of it is to go through it.

I'd advice sticking with this website. It's the best ptsd site I've come across. I like you don't like to discuss my traumatic experience.

And the best thing which you don't see now is that you survived. Somehow you survived.

As for the I should've died which you didn't elaborate on. Did you see others die? Were you so close to dying? Do yo feel guilty that you made it and others didn't?

Hang in there and I think you'll find useful info on this site.
