You Know You Have PTSD When...

You know you have severe PTSD when:

You go to the dentist for your first tooth ache ever...The have to extract a virgin tooth (no cavity) that got cracked from gritting your teeth so hard during sleeping anguish.

OMG! This just happened to me and I ended up with one crown and one temporary fix. Haha. Thank goodness for dental insurance. Now I really am a princess and I have my crown to prove it!

You know you have PTSD when....

-all of your sentences start with "I don't know if I told you this or not because my memory sucks" and you go on and they say yes, you said that three minutes ago (or yesterday) and you can't remember a single thing.

-it bothers you terribly that you forgot your Starbucks reusable cup which gives ten cents off your cup of coffee but having to pay for your psych meds doesnt upset you at all

-watching the television gives you anxiety

-you feel claustrophobic at the mere thought of someone coming to stay with you and different scenarios play out in your mind about how your houseguest will never leave and now you don't know how to say no to them and now you ar freaking and they aren't even here....so you just avoid answering the phone and pretend like you are on an extended vacation.

You know you have PTSD when you do your laundry in the dish washer because you can't go to a public laundry!

At times I wonder if Buddha had PTSD :
Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace.- Buddha

If a man who enjoys a lesser happiness beholds a greater one, let him leave aside the lesser to gain the greater.- Buddha

Words have the power to both destroy and heal. When words are both true and kind, they can change our world.- Buddha

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.- Buddha

You know you have PTSD when you cant figure out why a wire is where its not suppose to be at and you unplug everything trying to get that 1 wire back to where it belongs. Then can't understand why your pc is being a PIA because you unplugged it while it was defraging!!
