When someone calls you up to talk about dinner plans for Sunday night Super Bowl party and you have no idea what she's talking about. Because apparently you made the plans when you were dissociated or something, and you can't remember making them, well enough remember what time you're supposed to be there or what you agreed to bring!

When you think you're relaxed watching TV and realise your hands are clenched so tight you have finger nail marks on the palms of your hands.

You know you have PTSD when...

-you almost miss your bus stop because of your math teacher from year 9 saying "signs same add numbers use sign, signs different find difference sign of largest" over and over again. ((still have no idea why and it's confusing and sad at the same time))

-when you still get into bed with whoever (your parents), and feel like a baby, but you just want to know you're not crazy or at risk for a night flashback.

-when you think you hear someone crying, and so you cry, flashback, and when you say "I heard someone crying" you're surprised to find out that you were doing the crying, and the other thing was all in your head. It still doesn't seem right to you though, because it was just so real.

You know you have ptsd when: you consider excessive sleeping as a hobby. Your pets double as therapists and you hear someone laughing in your apartment complex three buildings away and you're sure they're laughing at you.

You know you have ptsd when: you are gripping the chair arms so tight while having a head massage because you're having your hair washed at the hairdressers. Relaxing, I don't thinks so. I just ended up having sore hands after laying there trying to control my arms from shaking so the young apprentice wouldn't think I'm a nut, after asking me was the water too cold.

You have medical procedure done when you are suppose to be "sedated" and you are so anxious the drugs don't "sedate" you. (Really messes with practitioners...:p)
