I can't tell you how many times my best friends asks me "Are you breathing?" or says "Your Not Breathing" or my favorite "BREATHE!"

Some people forget to put their gas cap back on after getting gas, maybe just a fluke or oversight.

You know you have PTSD when: The gas tank isn't working, no gas is coming out, I tried 3 times!! And now I'm getting pissed. I don't want to go in and pay with cash because I look like sh*t haven't showered in 3 days. :eek::rolleyes::alien: So I drive off pissed. Get to the stop light and people honk tell me that my gas flap is open. Or brother, I get out and close it, and yes I forgot to put the gas cap back on.

Retraced my route and found the mangled cap in the middle of street mashed up and barely recognizable.

After buying a new gas cap, and thinking about about everything, I realized that the gas tank didn't work because I was forgetting to put in my debit card in!!!! LOL DAH...

Oh that was lovely to remember after spending $20 on a new gas cap. Oh the joys of PTSD it just keeps getting better. :laugh::roflmao:

You know you have ptsd when you are making a buisiness call on a voice mail and you are supposed to leave your phone number and you forget it:eek:

This happens to me all the time! I have even hung up the phone after leaving a message only to realize I just accidentally left the phone number of someone else because it was the first number that came to mind!

You know you have PTSD when after several months on the forum you still puzzle over references to vets, because you can't remember that it has another meaning in the US. Where you are it just means a veterinarian. Vets with PTSD? Disturbed, homeless vets? Treatment programmes available to vets? Vets sleep with one eye open? Say what?

... you moved to another country so it is ok to see friends twice a year and have no everyday witnesses to how you (don`t) live
... you try not to miss a day or be late from work, hoping it will be enough in return for acting weird
... the day you lose and are running late you even call in and let them know... yeah right, except you call and talk to your previous job of 10 months ago and let them know you were running late. you only find out when, after a shock and a laugh ("take your time"), they ring you back... :whistling:
... you can not tell whether you are really recovering or got to some freaky final stage
