I'm very new to my diagnosis and PTSD in general (I had my first flashback a week ago). Has anyone been able to hear a voice of a person who is in the "Now" during a flashback? I had a flashback this evening and before it was over, I could hear my boyfriend guiding me through it, but I could still also hear what was happening in my flash back? His voice was very muffled and crowded many the flashback but I could hear him, it deffinatly grounded me a lot faster. Also, my first flashback, when it was over, I noticed myself crying. Now it's more just hyperventilating , not sure what's happening. Can anyone weigh in? ...sorry I'm very much confused with all of this.

Welcome to the forum!
In my experience, the answer to your question is yes.
Also, in response to your physical reactions--they can be different all the time.
Talk with your therapist...s/he will help you learn more so that you are not so confused.
