My son will be ok. He loves us both, but (due in large part to my need to isolate) he spends a lot more time with his father. That is actually the issue that started this mess. I gave my husband shit for shutting me out of our son's life. Next morning (yesterday), he announced his big news to me.

You guys are saving me right now. If I couldn't vent to you, I don't know what I would do. As it is, he just came to apologize to me for talking to our son without me, and I very kindly told him that I understand that he made a mistake and that it was OK. I think I even managed a kind smile.
