see, you've got this! you didnt give up on finding what was wrong, and your instincts that there was a problem were spot on. You did an awesome job there!! Its the doctors that wouldnt listen to you that screwed up.

Just spent several hours at the hospital. I was right - something is seriously wrong with a muscle in...

What did the doctor say are the next steps? If he can't keep down food I would assume he is dehydrated and would need fluids?

I have to give him about 8 different meds with every feeding, which now has to be every hour. Then, if in a week that hasn't improved things, I have to meet with a surgeon to discuss surgery. Somehow he's not dehydrated. I guess that's good.

I'm not a religious person, but I would like to ask that anyone who is please pray for my little man, and anyone who isn't - please think a good thought for him. I'm really scared that if he needs surgery he won't make it. He's so tiny and underweight I just worry it would be too much for him to handle.

As for being an unfit mother? Like every mammoth obstacle that's come your way in bringing this little guy into the world, you've fought tooth and nail to keep him safe and well. I couldn't imagine a better mother.

Had you not been trying as hard as you are and caring as much as you do. I guarantee you the quote above would have read more like "He's seriously dehydrated".

I've been thinking of you two. It didn't sound right and from what I've experienced when a mother thinks there's somthing seriously wrong she's usually right.

Only a fantastic mom would continue to try and find out what was wrong.. we both knew it was more than colic... and to want to find him another home, perfectly normal under the circumstances... but what did you do... you took him to the Dr !!! And did your momma thing until someone heard you... and believe me... Little Man is a fighter... Hopefully the meds are going to work... imagine how tired and worn out he is.. and hungry... you did everything right Casey, from sharing your feelings and thoughts to getting him help....If he has to have surgery... he will be fine... Hopefully you both will get some sleep and rest soon and prayers for both of you... Kisses on his little forehead from me and a huge hug for you.... I do believe you get Mom of the Year award !!!! Never once took the easy way out... just kept doing what you needed to do... hugging you both... I HATE that we all live so far away.... we are with you in spirit... and yes, prayers !!!
