Well, my name isn't actually Carl but thats what I would like to be called so... Hello!
Im new and I'm very grateful I found this website. Its been almost 3 years since my traumatic experience. The "anniversary" of my trauma is coming up in exactly 4 days. This time of year is the hardest for me for many reasons but mostly because of that stupid date.
I decided to join this website of people so that I can reach out and talk to people about my PTSD, and maybe help support some people along the way. Only about 3 people in my life know I have it and why so its very difficult for me to talk to anyone.
Well anyway.
Im here now and I cant wait to start talking to people and feeling heard.
 
Welcome @Carl Giller !!!! Happy you found us... and very happy to see you are reaching out as the anniversary descend on you. No better place that with a group of people who absolutely understand. And glad to read that you want to be heard. I feel like this is the only place I am really heard. So this is the place for you to feel comfortable and share..
Hope we can listen and encourage you during your rough time and you will like it here and stay... great community of people who understand each other... give each other encouragement and validation... Hope to see you around for a long time... Welcome hugs if you accept. If you aren't ready, no problem.. put them on a shelf and take one down as you need it....
 
Welcome Carl, thank you for sharing. I am sorry that this time of year is upon you, I understand these kinds of anniversaries and how hard they can be on us. I am glad you found us, so many people here that are relatable and encouraging. *sending you positive and encouraging thoughts*
 
Welcome to the forums :hug: I hope this spot helps you. It's extremely valuable as a result of the mass measure of individuals who feel comparative and understand eachother. I'm really glad you found us. I hope you got through your anniversary without too much pain. I find that when things are heating up for me, the chat room almost always cheers me up. I hope to see you there sometime! *hug*
