Mine is me and my grand babies. I found out what REAL love was when my son was born. His first 15 months were the happiest of my whole life!!!
Then my world changed forever when his little sister was born, severely brain damaged....
For me to be able to love and hold his babies, is TOTALLY PRICELESS!!!

My identity here is constructed from online games. On PuzzleboxMUCK, I played two characters, Blue (a very flirty girl who just wanted to be loved) and Orange (a powerful demon who loved to make people frightened of him).

In EVE Online, I played as BlueOrange, and joined a pirate organization. On the one hand, we taught players how to defend themselves against pirates - on the other hand, our lessons were exercises in piracy; we were effectively a terrorist organization. Unlike most of the pirates, I did a lot of 'carebear' activities, peaceful ways of making money.

So, in the pirate group, I used a blue teddy bear as my user icon - it has a pleasing connotation to me - the innocent friendly teddy bear who just wants to be loved, and to share the thrill of space combat with you. (My ammunition would be invariably pleased to meet you!)

Mine is from an artist that I love, Michael Parkes. There are several of his paintings that speak to me and this one is suited nicely to profile pictures. I see it as myself, mostly solitary except for my pets, reading all the time. There is one by him that I absolutely love, I'm not sure how to share it here, ah, ok, I pasted it in and we'll see if it loads. A lot of his art, but especially this one, speaks to what it feels like to be in your own world with mental illness. I use so much of his art for profile pictures on all kinds of devices because it feels like my insides. I'm not sure if that phrase even makes sense, but I'm sure my fellow PTSDers will get the sentiment.

I love all of your reactions so far! I´m really inspired by them and some of them move me quite a bit. It´s awesome to see where we can get a sense of courage from, and mostly we draw strength and courage from things that may seem small at first.

@Thizette wow, that artist is amazing. It reminds me of my dreams.

@Gadgie I can relate to that. I usually have this feeling with gliders (sailplanes), when I see them flying high and about: so very silent, as if they were about to dissappear, yet mighty - rising in the sun.

Mine is of a dog named Mario, and to my taste he is about as adorable as it is possible for an organism to be.
Every time I see him I am filled with a kind of joy and warmth, and I think about how much I'd love to hold his little paws.
I was one hour late to adopt him, and this pic is from the ad trying to sell him.

I often think about how relaxed their bodies are and how 'present' their minds are...I have never known relaxation but when I think of him I realize that for some, relaxation is possible.
