Mood Swings

Hey guys, I stumbled upon an explanation for our mood swings by accident this morning. I was listening to a Ted talk, and the neuroscientist was saying how mood swings are common across all kinds of clinical disorders because the part of your brain that reasons and rationalises is negatively effected and so you become so much more reactive. She related the experience to how you felt when you were a teenager - intense emotions and passions without the reasoning or balance - felt like they both related quite well to each other lol!

@joeylittle True what you said about the hormonal cycle, and thats what exactly i meant. Also, as i said, many men without getting ready to be pregnant once per month have mood swings, so its not uncommon and not a problem in most cases. :p
PS: I did mention that it wasnt meant to sound sexist (meaning women do, men dont) plus i am the most non-sexist being on earth lol.

@heyheyhey Yeah i know how PTSD messes things up. As i mentioned, i had emotional dysregulation before (its a risk factor for ptsd they say though, in the first place) which got way more severe after ptsd too. Good thing you manage it with therapy. :)
