Why Can't Medical Professionals See Past The Ptsd

I get low blood pressure also, but it is caused by low blood sodium (which was so bad that one time...
Please get some blood tests for am crtisol, 24 urinary cortisol and overnight suppression test with dex. and see an endicronologist and ask him to test for adrenal insufficiency - thes test above are a start - if you have primary insufficiency then your salt levels are affected by the non production of some hormones.

Some of the hormone defficiences are the cause of PTSD symptomology even though the trauma may have started the PTSD the symptoms come from biology - just google endocrinological effects of PTSD - in women other organs that can affect cortsol are ovaries and in women and men pituitary gland - but addisons or primary adrenal insufficiency can cause adrenal crisis - which could be what took you to the hospiatl - all ptsd sufferes should investigate their cortisol levels and rule out adreal insufficiency and look for other causes if there is secondary or tertiary adrenal insufficiency ( which doesn't have the salt issue but cortisol and possibly sex hormones and adrenalin among others).

It may be just PTSD but it may be PTSD has caused adrenal insufficiency of there is another completely medical explanation.

People with mental illness used to die ten years before undiagnosed people now it is 25 years - keep away from the meds and insist on medical testing and get hypnosis to stop negative coping mechanisms and to promote health promoting activity and diet. Low blood pressure is also related to adrenal stuff - get checked - if you have to see a new dr and just mention your symptoms ( withoutthe trauma) and see what tests are ordered or get referred to and internal medicne specialist and say you have PTSD but you want your sympotoms reviewed to rule out comorbid biological causes .

I am in this process now and endicronologist reallly don't know much about secondary stuff but the salt issue should ring alam bells about your adrenal glands - don't be alarmed but just insist and say it is due diligence - DR shop until someone agrees to do it. I am lucky I just can go and get whatever test I want without need for a DR where I am then I go with the tests and ask for help - some have said stay away from the internet but one is shelping me now and I don't think I will cure my PTSD but I will rule out primary and or secodary adreal insufficiency and causes such ast ovarian aor pituitary tumours or adrenal atrophy - I don't have the primary one but secondary is decribed as insidious - there but hidden in PTSD like symptoms

If it turns out you have adrenal insufficiency just drink gator aid is criminal negligence - they could work out you had a salt level issue they should have checked you for adrenal insufficiency / addisons which directly affects salt levels which is what causes adrenal crisis and requires lifelong medication and carrying adrenalin in case of crisis. cortisol levels is the start point for investigating this. Good luck.

search up continuing edcourses active course 067 it is the course notes on the exact topic and yes there is an impact 25 years of reduced life expectancy because of medical neglect of the mentally ill

@eloc , I know you were replying to someone else's comment, but I was interested to hear you suggest being tested for adrenal insufficiency as that is something my previous doctor had talked to me about, but she left before we could do any testing and I don't think my new doctor takes me seriously.
