New Here
My husband has cptsd & I have PTSD... we just went through a horrendously stressful move- uh.. long story there... anyways we've now ended up in a strange city we weren't planning to be in & we have no idea what direction to go in... generally we are both cocooning... started job hunting & therapy for us both. Needless to say we are on edge and triggered a lot. And unfortunately for me I easily go to extremes... extreme of extremes... seems like if I push all the way- then that will get the energy out or a solution will come. But I'm really exhausted from all the emotion and he's hurt too. I need to find a way to not get triggered so easy and also not go to extremes. It's hard actually, but I gotta work on it. Kind of rambling here.
Anyways, if we find our way here- start to work together, it'll be a miracle!

Thanks for your post. Welcome to this community. Moving is one of the most stressful things we do. I hate it at best. Glad you found your way here. Lots of caring supportive folks here. I'm fairly new here It has been a good place for me come.
Peace be safe

Don't you even feel lucky you can trust someone? I can't and won't ever be able to trust anyone in a relationship. No woman will want or have me. Insecurity, negative self image, PTSD, and depression have destroyed any hope of having that with anyone. In Iraq I did not see an American woman for five months in 2007. All the Iraqi women were covered head to toe alot of times. The rules are speak to or acknowledge an Iraqi woman expect to die in a attack or expect to have to kill her husband or father or get her killed. When I finally got back to a big base camp I could smell a woman at a distance before I saw her. I never fully got used to being around women again and most likely never will. I often wonder if other male service members have had this problem. 95% of my time in combat or in the Army was devoid of female contact. Be glad you can even connect.

Heck, a move can put Anyone in a very stressful place.

Try to fit in personal therapy sessions, where you practice meditation in between tasks that have to be done. You guys need to calm down a little inbetween all of these stressful situations.

This is a time to journal your journey. Write down your priorities, what are your emotions, what do you need to do that day and blah blah blah. I did the same thing when I met my husband and moved to Nebraska. I can understand, in a way, what's going on...

That's brutal, I hope you can heal-
I had really messed up relationships for a long time cuz I was not capable of loving... I'm getting there, little by little.
