My Dr just added this for anxiety. 10mg 3x a day. I don't really know anything about it. I don't want to take it and be zonked out the rest of the day. I hate new medications and I know everyone reacts different. Just looking for peoples experiences with it.

I'm on it, but I take almost double that dose. I'm prescribed 60 mg a day, but I only take 50 a day. Sometimes it can make me a little dopey for an hour, but then it clears up. Might also make me a little dizzy, but not for long. The benefits of this one far outweigh the side effects for me, and I HATE taking pharmaceuticals too!

I've been taking this for over a month. It's very different than taking a xanax or Valium in the way it makes you feel and it's not habit forming.
I started at 5 mg in the am and 5mh in the pm for a week, Then upped my dose to 10 mg in the morning and 10 mg at night. I just got raised to 15 mg in the morning and 15mg at night. It doesn't have the sedating effect of a narcotic/benzo sedative, I do feel much more calm overall. My Heart rate is a little bit lower overall which is a good thing, because it tended to be quite high, even at a resting state. Also, my blood pressure has stayed the same, and it has been excellent. The anxiety that I had been feeling every morning when I woke up has gotten so much better. As has the anxiety I was feeling while driving. I am having a lot of success with it and am happy to be off of the mor habit forming meds.

@Eagle3
You said you're taking the higher dose. Did it ever affect your vision when you started taking it? When I upped my dose 2 days ago I started seeing double. I'll see my dr on Tuesday but I figured I'd ask in the meantime.

Its been so long I don't remember when I first started taking it. I just know it made me dizzy for the first couple of days, but it cut out so much anxiety so quickly I let myself just get used to it.

@Fadeaway - I had no response to this drug and tried it twice. No negative reactions, no positive. It sounds like the others have had success without too much distress from the medication. I wonder if my dosing wasn't where it needed to be?? When I have insurance again, I might ask my doc if I can try it again as I can't manage SSRIs or SNRIs, and want off the Xanax. If you decide to give it a try, please check back in with your experiences if you don't mind.
