I need prayers; I have another blood clot in my leg. I have a Dr.'s appointment tomorrow (Thursday) at 1:30 PM Eastern Time, so please pray for me that the Dr. figures out what to do about this, as my dear mother died from a blood clot to her lung and her mother's sister had a stroke, so this is a kind of serious thing for me, what with the family history and all.

After reviewing rules/regs re: quoting, etc..., I am still am unsure of what's allowed or not, so I'll just suggest listening to "I Surrender," "Oceans," and "Hosanna" by Hillsong. After the Manchester and London attacks, regardless of who your god or lord is, they seem to speak to all of us. They all seem to be about knowing, acceptance, love, trust, and faith. We have to work together; heart to heart.

Praying heavily, daily, for all of us (the World).

"Praying heavily, daily, for all of us (the World)"

Do you know "Oh, Lord and father of mankind". For me this sums up, how the world is a pretty broken place. I often listen to it those days.

May I post the lyrics or a link here or would that be against copyright laws?

Sorry. "Dear Lord and father of mankind", not "Oh, Lord and father of mankind".

Links are fine.

Lyrics only if they're both (generally speaking) over 100 years old (70 years past the author's death) AND not held in current copyright by anyone / you list your source of them. Churches have a habit of doing complicated copyrights that keep their hymns -even fairly ancient ones- illegal to be used without their consent.

Except typically they are not zealous with prosecuting... for "Christian purposes"... that I've EVER heard of. Best to leave it alone cuz there might not be a dialogue before a ban... and since we get two, the second being permanent.
Well, is it worth it?

"8 Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily, 10 and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power."
Colossians 1:8-10 World English Bible, non-copyrighted, free to be used anywhere

This verse spoke to me today, because there is someone in my life who is very worldly and I did let him rob me of some joy today, my bad! I hope tomorrow that won't happen.

And, yes, I am praying for all of you and the world in general too!

Praying today for those who lost their lives and for the loved-ones left behind as a result of the attack on Pulse nightclub last year on this date.

Standing in solidarity with the rest of Central Florida in sending the tremendous light of love that we feel and possess into the darkness of this event and the hatred that spawned it.

Sometimes I feel that this could be true. The more truth I learn, the more trouble I see that I have gotten into sometimes. And yet, I read on, searching for more wisdom, as it is a kind of insatiable feeling to want to KNOW things:

"17 I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also was a chasing after wind. 18 For in much wisdom is much grief; and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow."

At the moment, I'm taking great solace in reading about the prophet, Elijah, and his nervous breakdown and how God didn't beat him up for being faithless, but rather, provided for him and got him out the other side of it, finish up his ministry and take him Home via a chariot of fire. (1 Kings 19 and skimming over to 2 Kings 2).

I'm so glad God kept calm and didn't beat Elijah upside the head with Scripture verses and tell him how faithless he was.

I'm glad we can glory in our weaknesses, (though I confess I'm REALLY frustrated by them, but I'm trying to learn.)

Thanks, all!

1 Peter 4:12-14

12 Beloved, don't be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you. 13 But because you are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy. 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed; because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.

I have been going through several trials of late, started a new job, some folks got jealous that I was not paying as much attention to them as before and one is heckling me, while the other is giving me the silent treatment. There's more to it, but that is the crux of it. Oh, and one of them is Christian, while the other (who is not speaking to me) is not.

Then, I got sick with a sinus infection, so now I am on antibiotics for 12 days and Doc says I can go back to work the day after tomorrow, but I kind of doubt I will feel well enough to do so that soon, but ya never know....

So please pray for me, thanks!
