Six months ago, I met a really great girl and was instantly attracted to her. We started dating and things were going great until my PTSD got in the way. This has happened in the past. I always seem to be pushing the ladies away. Well, anyhow, she didn't listen to me AT ALL! She kept coming back. We have made it over the rough spots in our relationship. Needless to say, she even wrote a few books about the Combat PTSD relationship and they're in the Top 100 in a couple of categories on the Kindle Store. She even wrote one about sex. LOL. She's been such a wonderful help and did A TON of research to try and understand me and what I'm going through. In the 12 years that I've been home, I've never had a woman take such great lengths to continue a relationship with me - not even my wife! She left!

Anyhow, I'm wondering where to go from here. Has anybody made it through the rough stuff and not had the PTSD monster come back to ruin their relationship? I'd love to hear other people's experiences and how they knew they had the one!

I recently, and still am, going through a crisis of marriage but I don't want to be part of some book. My wife is Chinese to boot. I don't doubt that everyone on this forum who is married has not had some ups and downs. I also have no doubt that most couples have not had a rocky relationship at some point in time and even have the ugliness return.

There are only tendencies in sociological studies. No certainties.

I'm sure we all have. I burn relationships up all the time! But my wife has tolerated me for 25 yrs.
