Stop talking!!!!!

This is venting...

At my workplace there is a person who talks a lot. Its as if she is repeating mantras. Repetitive stuff, this is very annoying. I usually dont talk a lot and like to say things in short, clear, direct sentences.

This is extremely urghhhh

When I am around people that talk all the time, my brain starts to feel like two pieces of sandpaper being rubbed together... just static and scratchy noise that makes me feel like I am coming out of my skin...... so ya, shut up already !!! I do understand....

I recently met someone who would do that. She would call me several times a day, and just talk. I couldn't understand what she was saying, but she talked so fast I couldn't ask questions. Then she would say, "Got to go", and hang up. Huh? I wasn't needed in the conversation. Weird.

Cj I understand! Same here...I am an introvert, talking too much isnt mine.

Then she would say, "Got to go", and hang up. Huh? I wasn't needed in the conversation. Weird.

Seems like she just needed sone ears. Indeed a strange meeting there

Its like everything being flushed out, unfiltered. I might even be a puppet that moves, it doesnt matter some need just a figure infront of them ro keep on jabbering

I love silence.

It's pretty much the most awesome thing out there.

I told my guy that silence is good, there is no such thing as awkward silence. I know this is a huge reason why he's so comfortable around me. My point being that annoying chatter is pointless and I hate it when people feel the need to yammer on for no reason other than to ease their own insecurities.

So if anything, feel bad for her for being so insecure that she can't stand silence.

That and shoot her invisible poison darts with your eyes. Lol.

Circular speech versus direct speech. I can't stand it when someone takes forever to tell me something that could have been said in less than a sentence. I think I post so much on the forum because I can never get a word in edgewise in real life. People take my silence as an opportunity to talk my ear off. I don't have the skill to talk that much. I especially hate the stereotype that women talk more than men because in my house my husband does 75% of the talking.
