We have a whole street dedicated to Halloween. Google Tilson street Halloween. It's awesome. People come for miles to see it. Glad you guys had fun.

Sooo... all’s hallow eve... is supposed to be -roughly- halfway between the autumn equinox & winter solstice. Which are freaking REVERSED in the Southern Hemisphere.

Sept 21st - HALLOWEEN - Dec 21st
March 20th - HALLOWEEN - June 21st

I say you rock out with your cock out on May 1st.

we've had some spectacularly craptacular weather this fall, which seriously delayed my Halloween decorating. The snow has finally melted, it's not raining, and the hurricane force winds are gone.... so I decorated. Cemetery, spider webs, spiders, lights, witches, OMG!!!!! It took about 3 minutes for the kids to appear, before I even got the cemetery up :hilarious: We have some (cough cough) not nice kids that have moved into the complex, so I'm leaving the rest of the decorations until the 31st so that they don't disappear.

We have new neighbours this year on one side, and they decorated today too. She made a huge wicker-man style creepy scarecrow, there's a stuffed ceepy guy in a chair, lights, spider webs, a spider.... these are my kind of people.

My pumpkins rotted early last year, and I had to carve a bunch more, so I've waited this year. I think it's about time to start though.... tomorrow may be the great pumpkin search

I do love Halloween and Autumn! All decorations are ready to start decorating at the weekend with the kids.

I'm more into Harvest Festival. So, for instance, I have a pumpkin and a baby one that sits on it, but I do not make a jacko-lantern. I don't cut a face into it, in other words. I have signs up for Thanksgiving, I keep them up usually all year round. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I keep it low key, I guess. Nothing fancy, nothing ghoulish or scary.

I have a small cast iron cauldron that I sometimes set out and I will burn granular incense in it. The smoke rising out of it has a wicked effect....but to be honest I'd like to decorate a bit more, but I am just not into it this year. I may set the cauldron out, but that is probably as far as it will go.
