I have been receiving the proper therapeutic care. I recently found out that I AM NOT bipolar as the doctors in CA originally diagnosed me with. I was on the complete WRONG meds even for a person WITH bipolar!!! I was on Depakote (mood swings), Paxil (depression, anxiety and panic attacks). This last May I sought the care of a certified Psychologist. In doing some questionnaires and assessments she said that I have SEVERE P.T.S.D. (NOT BIPOLAR!!!) It was much, much worse than I had originally thought or was lead to believe. Since being her care, the psychologist did a full med change. I am now on Zoloft and Buspar.
A couple of months ago, during my med change (coming off of Paxil...ICK), I acted out on my P.T.S.D. My boyfriend said that I "wasn't there" and my "eyes went black". Frickin scary!!! I acted out and assaulted my B.F. by pushing him in his solarplex HARD enough to cause an asthma attack! We wrestled on the floor trying to do each other in it seemed.
I called 911 for help for my BF thinking that is what he asked for. HE DIDN'T!!! Cops came and I WENT TO JAIL!!! I admitted that I put hands on him first. I screwed my self by being too honest. Although it was overnight, I received a greater perspective. A wake up call. Now I have to deal with court on top of everything else.
I needed to get this out and let someone else know what is going on with me and do so in a completely supportive atmosphere.
