I have now launched the 4th of July style as the US are the main make-up off this website. I hope to offer more special holiday styles over the years to build a nice little collection. They all take time.

If there are any hard to read aspects, then please inform me and I will review. Please be as specific as possible, otherwise I won't locate the issue, thus it will go unfixed.

I am working on a new primary style at present which will get released on the forums 5th birthday on 6th Sep 2010; all I can say is that its pretty eye catching! It will contain a special note about being 5 years old, though that will get removed. The current primary style be still be available for all to use. I am getting to the old dog style, black and white also, which I hope to get out this year.

The colors are a bit toned down and it's much easier on the eye (and brain). The stars were really BRIGHT when I first logged on. Then they faded and it's much better.

Thanks Anthony.

I knew this would be coming but it still caught me out LOL.

Looks good, bright but not in your face stuff.

While very well done sweetheart, I find the bright flash a bit annoying when you go to a new post. It's ok when you are reading and responding, but if you are just going in and out of threads the bright USA flag becomes a little overwhelming for me.

Thank you Anthony for considering the holiday, and taking the time and effort to celebrate it in style on here, I think you did a good job.

I find it a bit bright and brash to be honest. In addition to this, whilst I agree that celebrating days like the 4th July is important, why is there a focus on this US holiday, and yet there was nothing for ANZAC day, or Australia day (considering the forum-owners are Australian)? I actually feel rather alienated by the idea that because the majority of people on here are from the US, their holidays and celebrations take precedence over all others.

I guess what I'm saying here is: if you are going to do something for US holidays, do something for the holidays of other cultures on this forum, instead of marginalising people. If I came to this forum for the first time on this day, I would probably never return, due to the thought that I was not welcome, as it is a US focussed forum.

Hi Jagged, what you say is already in motion as outlined on the blog entry allowing all members to request specific styles: [DLMURL]http://www.ptsdforum.org/entries/422-Request-Your-Special-Styles[/DLMURL]. St Patricks Day for example is an Irish holiday, and had its own style. Whilst ANZAC day and others are on the list of styles to do; the problem is my time to get them done. I wanted to get one done for ANZAC day and Memorial Day, however; I was not the best at that time, thus it didn't occur. I am feeling much better again and have now commenced the Forum birthday style. Again, if I wasn't well enough to get that one done, it also wouldn't be done. You can see it is 2 months away, and already I have begun work on it. Styles get done on an "as is" basis that I feel well enough to get them done / I have the time. If I feel like shit coming up to Christmas, then only one or no styles will be done for that holiday. I also have to rebuild the Valentines one, as it was simply too hard to read... then fit others into the equation. You will more than likely find that once I finish the forum birthday theme, I will commence the Christmas one, due to as it gets closer to Christmas itself life will increase in pace for me, so likely I will not have the capacity to concentrate or focus on building themes the closer it gets.

The bigger picture is to eventually have a sizeable collection off multi-cultural / country specific holiday styles that can be used here, however; this all takes "my time" and only when I am up to the task at hand. I have my own studies I do, life, a wife, my kids lives and lots of other aspects... the forum is not at the top of the priority list. Sorry.
