easy to say if you personally don't have to decide between erring on the side of caution and starving. Claiming it's out of pride is just rude.

Just saying.
I do think saying it’s out of pride is inappropriate and misguided.
I also think it’s the people in charge of people in this position who are responsible - Where I draw the line in a pandemic is ANY health symptoms working in an office. Here office based jobs are being done from home. This isn’t to protect white collar workers but to minimise spread.

It’s not this posters problem- but effective government in a pandemic would see her equipment set up at home or being asked to use her own equipment and provided with a dongle or her internet line partially paid for

I don't have symptoms and that sore throat happened after work and cleared up before I went back the next day. What symptoms, exactly @Chris-duck?
Guidance says if people experience symptoms they should be off for two weeks. It does not specify how long symptoms should be experienced for. So any symptoms for any length of time lead to two weeks off

If someone is allowed to vent at 20 somethings,

^If you don't like what I said - ignore it or report me. Don't drag me into something completely unrelated please.

Where do you draw the line?

^Our Government & authorities have advised us that the safest way to manage ourselves is to assume we have the virus & do everything to avoid spreading it. That's the line. I think it's really the universal line or should be.

I'm in self-isolation doing physical distancing (note the authorities want us to stop using the term social distancing because it's not accurate) from everyone because I'm immune suppressed. So I appreciate everything, everyone does to not spread it around. That includes not going to the beach en masse, having 'catch covid19' parties, getting off cruise ships without thinking that all other returning residents & visitors from o/seas must quarantine themselves for fourteen days - so therefore, logically so must they? Then trying to blame somebody else for their own ignorance.

Since the cruise ships passengers disembarked we've have dozens of those passengers test positive. I'm not surprised.
