I dunno what part of America you’re in but that’s not relevant anymore. Those were the guidelines in the beginning- not anymore. Be smart and use some common sense.

I was specifically talking regarding the 14 days you guys quoted. Those guidelines also talk about fever...

Our guidelines are seven days once you've shown symptoms. Fourteen if you're exposed to someone with symptoms. But this is a daft argument cos either way, seven days isolation wasn't done by the member that states they had symptoms

That is not International, that is CDC, USA specific. Not world. Australia has different medical standards, which is why I cited Australia.

Oz, CDC and UK guidelines were all broken. So I amnt sure of the relevance of people arguing you anyway

If the safer estimate is 14 days it still makes sense to follow *that* instead of 7. Much less ignore even the week.

Like the same any other illness...
With *more* attention to it bc highly contagious & effecting many very lethally and very sneakily. Not less care.

I did not remind HIM personally.

I quoted his post because it was bolded and he specifically referenced Australian regulations. The other post talking about 14 days was from the UK.

For the record, we now have a mandatory 14-day quarantine for any people coming into Hawai’i. And I’ve been FOR stringent measures and being better safe than sorry from day one. I said so multiple times, even in the more recent posts.

I really don’t understand what’s the goal with all this smugness and attacks.

So much for not falling into “pandemic blaming” as Justmehere had asked several pages back. I realize stress levels are high, people are afraid (f*ck it, I have high-risk family and friends too and am worried sick), but some of the things that had been posted are just really really inappropriate.

I'm not arguing. I'm saying people should follow the rules of their country n they all say to isolate for 7 days+. I can understand people not being sure, but people arguing that it somehow doesn't apply is kinda how it has spread so much. And that has a direct impact on key workers. Whether that's retail or medical or whatever.
