Does anyone know if there is a pet food (specifically dog food) shortage in the US? Chopper will need food in at least a few weeks. Im wondering if I should just order it now on Amazon. Anyone know if there is pet food in other places (Walmart, Walgreens, etc) and if not, are pet stores even open? Can anyone guide me in this area in the US?

I had trouble getting a specific brand of seeds for my cockatiels, and they are very picky eaters. It's been hard to find for a couple of months, couldn't order it online, and finally had to drive to another nearby city where they only had 2 bags.

But this is also in western Canada, and we have a lot of empty shelves where I am.

If Chopper is a picky eater, or you're noticing supply issues or delivery issues, then maybe err on the side of caution and get the food now, then you won't have to worry about it.

I have a monthly subscription to dog food on amazon and haven't had an interruption. Chicken feed is 2 bags a family, that lasts a week. I'm annoyed I can't get my monthly feed and will shop somewhere else. I don't like going out every week for feed.

Wow, that sounded entitled. It's just when you buy so much feed and straw and bedding every month, I like to make one trip so I don't expose myself for extra trips. I don't mind going and getting it, I just don't want to have the virus.

In my opinion, there are four possible reasons for this outbreak:

1. It was bioengineered by some scientists in a lab, and somehow managed to get out, and now govts are trying to cover it up, blaming it on animal markets in China.

2. It was released intentionally, as part of a world depopulation and economical destabilization agenda.

3. It was released from ancient melting permafrost and glacier ice.

4. It is a plague, that was put upon mankind because of the worldwide exploitation and mistreatment of animals. China and other eastern nation's are particularly guilty of this.

Can you please tell us which other microbes were man-made, and who might have made them? Oh, I'll go first. I think HIV was probably bioengineered by fundamentalist Christians, who wanted to wipe out homosexuality.

As for the conspiracy theory about being developed in a lab...if that's true? It was a shitty lab, because the vast majority of people recover, and a large proportion of people experience minor or no symptoms.

There's a tonne of better bioweapons already lab-built and sitting in test tubes in government labs around the world if the idea here was someone wanting to deliberately release a plague on humanity.

Which is where past covid viruses came from. Unhygienic interactions between humans and wild animals has been the cause of similar viruses in the past, as well as far more serious diseases - ebola comes to mind.

Plenty of corona viruses around- all occur in nature. It's totally a "plague"- they also occur in nature because humans need to be humbled and remember that as much as we effect this planet and can change crap to suit our needs and likes, mother nature's a beast.

And what? I heard covid-19 was planned by trump to root out the "deep state" players- massive tribunals will commence, the govt. will take control of our tv's and broadcast live the criminal trials of all involved.....

I actually heard that COVID-19 was caused by the new 5G cell phone network. No joke, I really did.

I think that's just as good of a theory as any of the other ones.

Like @Innordinate said, there are tons of viruses in the corona virus group. They effect a huge range of species and they aren't all respiratory.. I listened to a virologist talking about the characteristics of this virus yesterday. He said corona viruses are actually kind of hard to work with in a lab and they'd be your last choice if you wanted to weaponize a virus. Probably no conspiracy involved.

This has been proven false. It is a natural occurance and has been proven to be so.

Bioweapon was the first thing scientists looked at and there are specific markers to show that it was made in a lab and it was looked at by several scientists in several countries and no one has found such markers.

I listened to a scientist talk about it on an hour long live show. Sorry that I cant give specifics or resources but they are out there.

There are many cronoviruses that occur in nature. The china meat market is a wonderful place for viruses in animals to transfer to humans and to learn how to live in a human cell. Many different animals along with many humans all in the same area. Its like the shoreline of the beach. He used the hermit crab as an example. All hermit crabs started in the ocean and over time they evolved to live in both and there are hermit crabs further up on the beach that can only live on land and will drown in the ocean. But they all started from the ocean.

The meat market in China is like a shoreline where viruses can evolve and learn to adapt to human cells.

The American meat market is the same. The swine flu is a good example of that coming from pigs.

But this is no bioweapon. You can find all the resources from all those that researched it. That is a concern which is why its the first thing they looked at.
