So we bicker against ourselves. In the US, it’s almost a cold civil war and a lot of despair and not much uniting to overcome it.

I just follow Dr. Fauci for the most part. He has given good information that fact checks well. I am in the middle. There are people who will go out and spread the virus for many reasons. A borderline delayed person was talking about how people get close to you and it can spread the virus, sadly he demonstrated for me. He didn't understand. Many people are desperate, and some feel that their rights have been taken away. Other people are shouting - don't leave the house!! I wear a mask in public. I do the things I need to do and that's it. Americans not being able to get their hair done is not on the scale of the holocaust, however, people coming out in droves to pick up their lives could become on that scale.

their immune systems are fragile. That could help a little.

I don't think it would help with the overall spread, because most of the compromised people would get it and be hospitalized and die. Well, you're right, it would help keep the ICUs less full.

On another note, my stepfather who is 95 and broke his good hip, went into the hospital and got pneumonia. He was transferred to a care facility that claims no Covid cases, but he didn't get tested. So now we have a man with possible Covid in a care center where they aren't testing, and can claim no cases. He developed bloody diarrhea (sorry tmi for some folks), they sent him back to the hospital who sent him back to the care center. That is also a symptom of Covid, but given his age and heart failure, and blood cancer of some kind I can't even begin to spell they aren't treating him. It is so hard on my mother.

A friend and I have a friendly debate about voters who do not wear masks despite mask laws in place. Should they me allowed to go into polling centers to vote? Keep in mind in this setting election workers are behind plexiglass and gloves and masks themselves. I say yes let them vote, my friend says how dare you, they should be arrested. It's a fun debate but wow, made me realize how complicated so many things are now and how charged up everyone is all the time about everything now.

Hard to take this thing very seriously anymore since CNN trotted out Greta Thunberg on a panel of "experts" about Covid. What's next? David Hogg on an expert panel about vaccines?

Greta Thunberg defends place on expert COVID-19 panel after widespread ridicule

Media and DNC driven "crisis".

Ok, I have a chance to go to church tomorrow(7th day Adventist Church). We, if we go, must observe social distancing, wear masks, etc. Since I have a weak immune system, I will not be there. I will worship at home somehow, like writing a poem to God, maybe.

Oh my gosh. I came here to talk about just that! I attend the UU and found out today the national association is strongly recommending congregations not have in-person church until May 2021. I am screaming. My church hasn't announced yet - I will probably find out tomorrow what they plan to do. Or at least what they are considering. We've been doing virtual services, but have averaged just about 50 views each Sunday. Our congregation is mostly older and a lot don't deal with technology.

I definitely think they will lose people if they go virtual for a whole 'nother year. I'm not a member yet - am taking a series of 3 classes and was planning to join this spring or summer - and I'm just not sure I can stay motivated to engage virtually for that long.

@whiteraven I was just reading in Come Away My Beloved by Frances J. Roberts that in the End Times, we will all be together as one church, no longer arguing over details, but all working together to heal this broken world. Maybe this tragedy could somehow lead us into doing something like that.

Maybe we don't need Church buildings to do something like that.
